How powerful is our subconscious mind? I mean, many people live their lives in the same ways, making the same mistakes and following the same routines. These people are unhappy with their current situation but seem unable to make lasting changes. Are you one of them?
You might have attended seminars, read books, and taken courses, but you still fall back into the same dysfunctional patterns that you were following all along. It always ends up this way.
Because we only input information into our conscious minds, it’s difficult to change our lives. Your conscious mind does not determine your behavior and beliefs.
So first, you need to reprogram your subconscious mind, which is the hard-wired part of your brain, in order to change your behavior.
What is the Subconscious Mind?
Our subconscious is the most important part of our minds. It holds all the messages that we have received throughout our lives. It contains millions upon millions of thoughts, grouped together into groups that create beliefs, mindsets, and character traits.
The relationship between the subconscious and conscious minds is like an iceberg. The visible tip of an iceberg represents the conscious mind, while the vast lower portion hides the subconscious.
Although you can’t actually see the subconscious at work, it has a significant impact on your life.
Your subconscious is where you store all your learned behaviors. You don’t have to think about how to place your feet on the ground to move forward once you can walk.
No! Your subconscious mind controls your actions automatically.
Through repetition and practice, your subconscious learns to behave. It learns to control your steps when you walk. What you reinforce in your life controls your path.
The good news?
You can reprogram your subconscious mind with new thoughts and actions.
You can tap into your subconscious mind to reprogram its workings using a variety of techniques.
Here are some strategies you can use to transform your mind.
- Affirmations: Positive, positive, and present-tense affirmations can change your subconscious mind. They use positive, personal, and present-tense statements to overcome negative thoughts. By repeating these positive thoughts regularly, you’ll be able to create alternative paths in your subconscious. It’s time to embrace new ways of thinking.
Your subconscious then causes you to adopt new behaviors that align with these new attitudes. Repeating, for example “i choose healthy food at every meal.” could change the way you think about food and how you prepare it.
- Visualization. Visualization is the art of creating mental images that show a desired outcome. You also can achieve success. These images encourage the subconscious to accept them as reality. This then guides behavior in the right direction. Top athletes use this technique all over the world during game-time.
- Hypnosis. Hypnosis is one example of a type of therapy that works with the subconscious mind. Hypnosis is a technique that allows you to relax deeply. The subconscious mind becomes easier to access once you are in this state.
It’s easier to reprogram your subconscious to accept new thoughts while under hypnosis.
- Subliminal Audios. You can use subliminal audios while you’re sleeping. While the conscious mind may listen to music or hear someone speak on one level, the subconscious mind can hear another layer of information beneath the audible portion.
If you are awake, the audible portion distracts the conscious mind. It’s then more difficult to tap into your subconscious mind.
These techniques can reprogram your subconscious mind and get rid of negative thoughts.
Imagine living your life free from the dysfunctional habits that have been driving you for years.
You can achieve so much more if you change your negative outlook to a positive one. You will find your mind is free from any negative programming and you can excel and succeed all your life.
